Hard Work.
Big Wines.
On our road, there are no shortcuts. Each and every season. Each and every bottle. Our crew knows how to get the job done right and does whatever it takes to go the distance.
good things come to those who wait
Patience is a virtue. A virtue that rewards those willing to wait it out. Life moves fast—unless you’re on a tractor, so needless to say we know all about that ‘hurry up and wait’. It can be a long road and a long wait but the right amount of cellaring makes for a great wine, every time.
Time and Tradition
Some of the oldest Chenin Blanc vines in North America are planted right here in our vineyard. These vines produce less fruit than younger vines, resulting in complex, concentrated flavours. Respecting the fruit means bottling with tradition, making our Sparkling Chenin Blanc collection truly celebration-worthy.
OUR WINEMAKER
Stefa Korda
Stefa grew up in the Niagara wine region and studied Oenology and Viticulture at Brock University. Her first vintage was a co-op placement at Quails’ Gate in West Kelowna, where she quickly fell in love with the Okanagan. In 2017, she moved west to join Mission Hill as a harvest intern, staying through the 2018 vintage. Eager to expand her skills, she worked vintages in Australia and New Zealand before returning to the Okanagan in 2020 to lay down roots.
Stefa was drawn to Road 13 by its grounded philosophy where bold reds are crafted with a hands-in-the-soil approach and a deep respect for people, place, and process. Inspired by the winery’s strong values and sense of legacy, she’s excited to be part of a team that celebrates both tradition and craftsmanship in every bottle.
