The nose has an inviting finesse and elegance with pure harmony between baked apple character and bready aromas from the yeast autolysis. The palate is rich with great depth of flavour from the old vines and the great terroir of the Home Vineyard and its Ratnip soil. Flavours of fresh green apples and ripe pears on the palate are combined with a gentle dose of yeasty bakery notes from the two years of lees contact. Chenin Blanc is known for its acidity and the liqueur d’expedition helped to create a wine with a beautiful balance to the legendary racy acidity from the Chenin Blanc. This food wine is ready to be enjoyed among friends or for a perfect romantic occasion!
